Essay

The first picture in the book shows a electric razor, a subaltern young woman, who has still woken in the early morning, the caption reads sometimes the day begins with nothing to interpret forward to (Tan, 2011a) . The child is sit mastered up in her bed; she appears to be forlorn and cloudy in thought, her shoulders are s saucily slumped and her eyes are d profess cast. The little girls room is bathed in an early morning fall of light and in that office are a scattering of sliminess take outs falling from the crownwork onto the floor and her bed. The Illustrator of the picture I trust has used the depressed leaves as a symbol of perceptions and devastation that are line of descent to enter the little girls thoughts as she sits on her bed. The girl has no control over these emotions, they are starting line to absorb her mind and overwhelm her. The black leaves are the well-nigh authorised aspect of this picture, for without them it would just be a g irl session on her bed. Every leave represents a brand-new emotion that has entered the girls mind and is making her more confused and lone(a) with each leave that falls, eventually she will be solely engulfed in a black cloud of loneliness and confusion.
